British surfing has expanded rapidly since the early 1960’s, with the South West becoming the UK’s spiritual home. Surfing is part of the landscape here; the water the playing surface, the land the arena. This series of images show the sport being enjoyed within the context of a unique British landscape .

In order of appearance: Saunton Sands (x2), Newquay, Portreath, Bude, and Watergate bay.

  1. These photos are incredible. Remind me of the time I walked across the South Western Coast Path in Britain along cornwall and devon. Well done Tom you’ve done a brilliant job!
