British Surfing Landscape

British surfing has expanded rapidly since the early 1960’s, with the South West becoming the UK’s spiritual home. Surfing is part of the landscape here; the water the playing surface, the land the arena. This series of images show the sport being enjoyed within the context of a unique British landscape.

In order of appearance: Saunton Sands (x2), Newquay, Portreath, Bude, and Watergate bay.
