REN + Cereal

Lemon brings a bright, citrusy freshness to the gentle woody notes of cypress, while a hint of cooling mint rounds off the scent. It’s a crisp, clean pick-me-up that reflects both of our brands love for design and products at their purest.

We collaborated with skincare brand REN to create a limited edition duo: a natural tonic wash and accompanying moisturiser.

Since its launch in 2000, REN has become quickly known and highly regarded for its effective skincare products. REN, which means clean in Swedish, uses plant and mineral derived active ingredients coupled with a refined packaging style to create a sense of purity that runs through the brand.

It’s a shared desire to strip a product back to its essential elements that gave clarity to this collaborative product.

‘I adore Cereal’s aesthetic, particularly because REN began with a very similar look,’ shares co-founder Robert, who oversees REN’s product development. ‘simplistic design doesn’t have to mean basic. It’s pared back, but it’s got soul. I love when beauty and simplicity are combined”

The exclusive REN x Cereal set features a Revivo-Tonic Hand and Body wash and matching moisturising cream, infused with natural oils to create a unique, refreshing fragrance.

Alvaro, head of brand partnerships, explains how the scent choice came about: ‘At REN, we had created a great new fragrance, and when we showed it to Cereal – they loved the scent, and it was perfect timing for both of us”. The tonic duo was simply born from there.

Product aside, talking success with the REN duo was equally as refreshing – there’s a modesty that steadies both their ambition and acclaim. ‘REN is a mix of big ambitions and staying grounded. We’re aiming for world domination, one bottle at a time,’ laughs Robert.

‘We’re a broad church; everyone’s invited to use REN!’ We create sophisticated products that make you feel good. REN began because we wanted skincare as it should be. When you slip into a well-cut jacket, you feel different; better. We want using our products to feel just like that.’ And they do.
