Cuyana + Cereal: San Francisco Guidebook

“I don’t know of any other city where you can walk through so many culturally diverse neighbourhoods, and you’re never out of sight of the wild hills.” There’s something about that truth that feels essential.

Poet Gary Snyder may have put his finger on what makes San Francisco so delightfully uncommon when he said, “I don’t know of any other city where you can walk through so many culturally diverse neighbourhoods, and you’re never out of sight of the wild hills.” There’s something about that truth that feels essential. A metropolitan energy is intoxicating, can be addicting, but you’ll feel that every so often, you need an escape from it all. And so to live in a place where all you need to do is peer down the rolling hills and see the voluminous bay, and the spirit of the redwoods beyond it – it’s no wonder so many people decide they never want to leave.

This introduction to San Francisco is taken from a guidebook we created in partnership with our friends at lifestyle brand Cuyana, where we share some of our favourite places to visit in the city.
